Organizations and groups who work specifically with the Veteran Population
300 acre camp dedicated to supporting veterans and first responders. This sanctuary was built to give veterans and firsts responders a natural and organic environment to be able to open up about their journey. Surrounded by like minded individuals who have been through the same or similar situations helps these service members to confidently and comfortably share their stories free of judgement. Each warrior is treated with Love, Honor, and Respect.
The Gary Sinise Foundation was founded by actor Gary Sinise and supports America's Veterans and First responders on multiple levels from the severely wounded and families of the fallen to the unseen wounds that warriors face. In addition Gary also entertains service members with his band the Lieutenant Dan Band, named after his wounded veteran character Gary played in Forrest Gump. A wonderful organization doing incredible work for the veteran community.
Canine Companions connects service dogs to the veteran population, and helps guide the veteran towards the right canine companion for their lifestyle and home. The training received by the dogs is top notch and is geared towards helping minimize triggers that veterans experience and also to calm the veteran when the triggers do arise.
This group is focused on providing affordable housing to service members and the working class American. Through approachable and supportive financing options, United Herculean helps people to obtain the American Dream and they also include some extras to help the buyer start their home buying journey on the right foot.
